Sri Rajeshwari Vidyaniketan is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, has classes from L.Kg to X std. (AISSE) level, It is a co-educational school with special emphasis on nurturing the vast latent human resource available in the villages.
The school was founded in 1983, primarily to provide much needed good quality education in English medium to children in rural areas, who are often deprived of the opportunity. And also as an answer to difficulties faced by rural population in getting admission for their wards in reputed schools. It is run under the aegis of Paramapujya Sri Sri Sri Tiruchi Mahaswamigal Trust, Kailas Ashram, Bengaluru. The trust is a charitable and a non-profitable one locally managed as a part of many co-operative and educational institutions founded by the great visionary, Late Shri K.H.Patil.
Late Shri K.H.Patil, a doyen among politicians and a pioneer in the development of co-operative movement in Karnataka, was deeply concerned about the absence of good quality educational facilities in this area. He started a chain of educational institutions from Primary to college level including professional colleges in and around Hulkoti. And, Sri Rajeshwari Vidyaniketan is one such school; with a partly residential setup for boys from Grade V onwards; which has carved out a niche for itself as one of the best secondary schools in North Karnataka in particular and of Karnataka in general.
